Going to PNG:)

We just finished up our last week of lectures! Last week we learnt about the bible, focusing on the book of Philemon, It was really cool how i learnt practical ways to study and apply the bible, and how it really is relevant today.
Then this week we learnt about missions, and what it means and looks like to diciple a nation. It was reallly cool looking at the diffrent sphears of society more indepth a bit, and it was really encourating as we are heading out.
On Tuesday early morning we are heading out to Papua New Gunie! We will be flying to port morsbey for a day then flying up to the highlands where we will be staying fro two weeks. Then me and half our team are going to go on the YWAM Medical ship for a little over two weeks, and then i'll spend the rest of the outreach in Port Morsby.
I'm really excited to be heading out an be able to put all the things i have been learning into practice.

Aussie Outreach

I just got back from three incredible weeks of what we call outreach, pretty much it is just living out and putting into practice all the things we have been learning about.
Our team started out in the Atherton, tablelands in North Queensland. We did alot of work in the community gardening for an ederly lady and things, as well as planning school programs.
The second week we drove to Mossman, a small town about an hour north of Cairns and spent the week doing easter programs in Primary schools all over the area and connecting with local youth.
Then for the thrid week we drove down to Cairns and spend the week working with this Guy Harold. He has two diffrent ministrys, one is a food van that goes out to a park every night to hang out with and feed the local homeless youth, and the second is a house where he takes in homeless youth for a short period of time. It was so amazing to just be able to hang out with the guys at the house and be apart of Harolds ministry. It was so encouraging to see his faith and hope in these youth and to see the way he has sacrified so much to show Gods love to them.

I'll be spending the next two weeks here in Townsville learning about the bible and mission, then I will be heading out to PNG next weekend!
